Widely used on OE exhaust connections, the real benefit of the AccuSeal is noticed when servicing a connection. Not only will a stack or elbow disassemble easily later on, the AccuSeal is a streamlined, good-looking clamp. Designed not to crimp or distort stacks or pipes.

Your Exhaust system is held together by clamps, the Flextite, Torca, AccuSeal band clamp is used to hold together the pipes in an exhaust system. We have clamps in a variety of sizes to fit most every exhaust system. Clamps prevent leaks and ensure that the exhaust sounds and fumes are properly routed away from passengers.

There are two main types of exhaust clamps: U-bolt clamps and band clamps. This product is one version of the Band Clamp. As mentioned, it can be used to replace the U-bolt style clamp. It’s ready for installation out of the box. It wraps around your pipe and has the hardware pre-attached to get the job done quickly.

Steps to Installing Clamps

Exhaust clamps are relatively easy to install, and they can be replaced if they become damaged or corroded. However, it is important to use the correct type of clamp for the application, as using the wrong type of clamp can lead to leaks. If you have questions contact sales, 248-689-7373.

  1. Clean the pipes. Use a wire brush to remove any dirt, debris, or rust from the pipes where the clamp will be installed.
  2. Measure the pipes. Measure the distance between the pipes where the clamp will be installed. This will help you determine the correct size of clamp to use.
  3. Choose the correct clamp. It is important to choose the correct type for your application. For example, if you are connecting two pipes of different diameters, you will need to use a step clamp.
  4. Install the clamp. The specific installation instructions will vary depending on the type of clamp you are using. With the easy seal, you will only need wrap the clamp around the pipes and tighten the bolts until the clamp is secure. Torque to 48-60 ft-lbs.

Here are some of the factors to consider when choosing an exhaust clamp:

  • The type of clamp (U-bolt or band clamp).
  • The size of the clamp (to fit the pipe diameter).
  • The material of the clamp (steel or stainless steel).
  • The strength of the clamp (to withstand vibration and heat).

Exhaust clamps are an important part of the exhaust system, and they should be inspected and replaced regularly. By using the right type of clamp and inspecting your Flextite Torca AccuSeal band clamp can help to keep your exhaust system in good working order and prevent leaks.
